THR Candidate Search / THR Technologies
CV ranking for recruitment agencies
Practical guidance for evidence-led screening and recruiter-controlled decisions.
One client brief, one evidence-led shortlist
Confirm the client’s essential requirements before running a search. Upload the CVs you are authorised to process for that role; do not reuse a score from another vacancy as a universal candidate rating. Review each explanation, shortlist yourself and share only the information the client needs. THR’s saved profiles and stage notes support your review, not a shared agency ATS or team workspace.
Start with the job requirements
Before uploading CVs, separate essential criteria from preferences. Use clear, job-related requirements: duties, relevant experience, qualifications and licences. Avoid vague labels such as “culture fit”. For a welding role, for example, ask for evidence of the welding process or certification the work actually needs; do not assume a certificate from a job title.
Read the explanation, then check the CV
A high score is not proof that every requirement is met. In THR Candidate Search, open “Why?” to inspect supporting evidence and gaps, then open the candidate profile. Distinguish “not stated” from “does not have”: an omitted qualification may need a follow-up question. Check lower-ranked candidates too and review flagged documents outside the tool.
Return to the work you saved
Recently reviewed searches remain available for 48 hours. Bookmark candidate profiles explicitly for later review. Saved stage dates, interview times and notes follow your account; stage records expire after 14 days.
Contact candidates on your terms
Use contact details stated in the CV. Pro and Agency include email drafts and calendar invites. Review every draft yourself—nothing is automatically sent and no candidate is automatically rejected.
Agree responsibilities across the agency and client
Recruitment agencies and employers may have different data-protection roles depending on their arrangement. Agree who provides candidate notices, handles rights requests, authorises sharing and sets retention. Record a meaningful recruiter review before a decision affects a candidate; a routine click to accept the AI ranking is not a substitute for considering the evidence.
