THR Candidate Search / THR Technologies
AI CV screening software UK
Practical guidance for evidence-led screening and recruiter-controlled decisions.
AI assists. People decide.
THR ranks job-related evidence, not people’s worth. AI can misread information or miss relevant experience. Review the source CV, question the explanation and verify important qualifications before shortlisting, rejecting or making an offer. Candidate stages are set by you, never by AI.
Start with the job requirements
Before uploading CVs, separate essential criteria from preferences. Use clear, job-related requirements: duties, relevant experience, qualifications and licences. Avoid vague labels such as “culture fit”. For a welding role, for example, ask for evidence of the welding process or certification the work actually needs; do not assume a certificate from a job title.
Read the explanation, then check the CV
A high score is not proof that every requirement is met. In THR Candidate Search, open “Why?” to inspect supporting evidence and gaps, then open the candidate profile. Distinguish “not stated” from “does not have”: an omitted qualification may need a follow-up question. Check lower-ranked candidates too and review flagged documents outside the tool.
What if a CV cannot be read?
Unreadable or timed-out files are flagged and excluded from scoring. Readable documents that are not CVs are identified separately. Successfully assessed candidates remain available when other files fail; check the flagged files yourself.
UK GDPR & responsible AI
No. Your organisation remains responsible for its lawful basis, candidate privacy information, rights requests, retention choices and meaningful human review. Assess the tool and suppliers for your use, consider a DPIA where required, and obtain legal advice when needed.
Ask the supplier before you upload
Ask for processing terms, AI-provider details, hosting locations, international transfer safeguards, deletion rules and rights-request support. Do not assume UK hosting from a UK domain. Agree what your organisation needs before using any screening service. Our Privacy Policy describes the published THR data flow; contact us for questions not answered there.
